Dentures are artificial teeth and gums that are custom made to replace missing or loose natural teeth and help restore your ability to chew and speak with confidence. The aesthetics of your smile will also be improved as the dentures are designed to look as natural as possible.

Custom Made For You

Your denture will be custom-made because everyone has different shaped mouths. An impression of your gums is taken and used as a template for your denture to ensure it fits the contours of your gums perfectly and prevents irritation. Once the dentures have been fitted, we will arrange regular check-ups to make sure they continue to meet your functional and aesthetic needs.

Materials

Your denture can be made from various materials including metal and acrylic. Modern dentures are extremely lifelike to ensure your smile looks completely natural. The modern designs are also lighter, easy to clean and more comfortable. Our bespoke full and partial dentures are constructed using only the highest quality materials and techniques.

Types of Denture

There are two main types of dentures:

'Full' or 'complete' dentures for replacing an entire arch of teeth and,
'Partial' dentures for replacing a smaller number of teeth. These are usually attached to your adjacent teeth with metal clasps.

Though dentures are usually held in place by the natural suction of the gums, some people choose to use denture fixative or adhesive to achieve extra stability. It is now also possible to have implant-retained dentures for a greater sense of security when wearing dentures. Implant-retained dentures improve functionality, allowing you to eat and smile confidently without worrying about your dentures slipping or becoming loose.

Immediate Denture

Immediate dentures are fitted 'immediately' following a tooth extraction. They are an important but usually interim step to perfecting your smile. Once your gums are healed and healthy either a second permanent denture can be made or, if preferred, the missing teeth may be replaced with implants.
